Planning.
A human adventure and a physical and scientific challenge which demand detailed preparations, considerable technical skills and painstaking precision.
Funding: Approximately $15 000 per person; in addition to crew’s contributions, we hope to convince a few partners to share the costs.
Logistics: Planning, months ahead of the trip, our itinerary and transportation, access rights, clearances and authorisations.
Security: Detailed emergency plans; crew’s medical records; evacuation protocols; protection against wild animals.
Health: Drawing up a 21-day menu; procuring, preparing and dehydrating foods; assembling a first aid kit; adequate physical preparation.
Documentary: Drawing up an energy management strategy, preparing technical materials, establishing partnerships.
Scientific pursuits: Planning, in collaboration with various specialists, the contribution this expedition might make to geographical and archaeological knowledge.
